SUEZ CANAL STRIKE
DEMAND BY LABOUKERS SHIP LEFT IN FAIRWAY FIGHTING AT PORT SAID (Received July 6, 11.30 p.m.) CAIRO. July 6 Traffic in the Suez Canal has been brought to a standstill as a result of a labourers' strike for higher wages. Strikers left a ship that was being towed to Port Said for repairs in the fairway. Fifteen persons were injured in a clash with the police at Port Said.
