DAIRY WORKERS' HOURS
opposition by farmers: CHEESE FACTORIES AFFECTED [BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] DUNEDIN, Thursday The annual conference of the South Island Dairy Association carried a remit to-day that an emphatic protest should be forwarded to the Ministor of Marketing, the Hon. Walter Nash, and the Minister of Labour, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, in regard to the serious position created in cheese factories owing to the restricted hours defined in the Dominion dairy factory workers' award.
A remit was also passed protesting against the action of the Minister of Marketing in the steps taken by him regarding the control of the marketing of bobby calves.
