ENGLISH LADIES' TEAM PLAYERS ARRIVE NEXT MONDAY Arrangements for the reception and entertainment of tho English women's hockey team were finalised at an executive meeting of tho Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association. Miss P. H. Dawson presided. Tho team will arrivo on June G, a later date than had been anticipated, and will proceed immediately to Rotorua, After a sight-seeing tour of the thermal regions, a practice match will be played against a Rotorua ladies' team. A mayoral reception will be tendered the visitors at Auckland on Juno 10, and the All-England versus Auckland match will be held at Eden Park on June 11. Mrs. It. N. Hamlin has been appointed by the New Zealand Umpires' Association to referee this match. Tho annual seven-a-side tournament will bo held on Monday at Remuera hockey grounds, all matches commencing at 10.45 a.m. Following is the draw for the first round: — Senior grado: Clevedon v. Wesley, Kiwi v. University, Training College v. Technical t'ast Students, Mount Eden a bye. Intermediate grade: Mount Eden v. University, Kiwi v. Technical A, Technical B a bye.
