The meteorological authorities see no sign of an early break in the dry spoil, 'which, over southern England, has lasted since March 25. FRENCH CROPS SUFFER I LONDON, April 21 Heavy snow in the north-east of France has caused a further disaster to the fruit crops, says the Paris correspondent of tho Daily Telegraph. Two-thirds of the strawberries have been destroyed.
