DIONNE QUINTUPLETS
COMPLAINT BY FATHER AN INVESTIGATION SOUGHT (Received April 22. 0.5 p.m.) XEW YORK. April 21 ■ The father of the Dionne quintuplets, through counsel, lias asked the provincial attorney-general to conduct a judicial investigation into Dr. A. R. Da foe's supervision of the quintuplets and into their guardian's management of their financial affairs, says the Ottawa correspondent of the New York Daily News. The complaint alleges tho existence of schemes to divorce tho affection of the children from their parents, careless and improper management of their nursery, jeopardising tho quintuplets' health through pandering to the curiosity of tourists and wastage of the children's trust funds.
The Dionne quintuplets are wards of the King until their eighteenth birthday, under a decree issued by the Government of Ontario. The Canadian Federal Government has passed legislation .to protect them and their advertising slogans and trade marks.
The estate of the quintuplets was stated last November to total £IOO,OOO, but, said Dr. Dafoe, they would need all of it, as they would always have to buy their privacy. Their living expenses averaged £'Bo a week. Dr. Dafoe received £4O a month and tho parents £2O a month.
