Notice is hereby gfven that the Newmarket Borough Council proposes, at a Special Meeting to be held on TUESDAY, 10th day of May, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of i! 3.3,000 for the purposes outlined hereunder: 1. The erection of a Library and Administrative Block on the Town Hall Reserve, such block to include Public Library and Reading Room, Administrative Officos and Council Chambers, Women's Rest Room and Public Conveniences; the purchase of new books and equipment; payment of compensation; and the establishment of a new Council Depot in Laxon Terrace, including purchase of land and the erection of the necessary buildings thereon. 2. The construction of a fully equipped Swimming Pool to Olympic standards, including the installation of purification and heating plants; the provision of Tennis Courts and Children's Playing Apparatus on the recreational centre; and the removal of existing buildings from this site, including payment of compensation. 3. The purchase and lay-out of Public Motorcar Parking Spaces in the Borough and the purchase of a special Refuse Collecting Motor-vehicle. 4. Engineering, Architects' Fees and Contingencies. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit same in writing to the Newmarket Borough Council not later than the day preceding tho said meeting.
