PENWOMEN'S CLUB
EX-PRESIDENT HONOURED APPRECIATION OF WORK Members of the Penwomen's Club entertained.their ex-president, Mrs. F. Carr Rollett. at a very enjoyable party yesterday afternoon. Mrs. J. Innes, who had been a vice-president on the committee when Mrs. llollett was in office,; presided, and, after presenting the guest of -honour with a bouquet, spoke very warmly of the work she had done during the time of her presidency. The club secretary, Mrs. Sydney .Smith, alsp spoke, and on behalf of members S resented Mrs. Carr Rollett with a hinese reading, lamp. fi „ Assisting with the entertainment programme were Miss Pat Boyle, who gave a song and monologue, Mrs. Boyle playing her accompaniment. Miss Joy Crother recited, and with Mrs. Nello Porter presented a sketch from'"Adults Only," by Beverley Nichols. Songs were also given by "Mrs. Rawdon and Mrs. Richards, their accompanists being Miss Jsobel McKinnon and Mrs. McKinnev. Two poems were recited by Mrs. Bailey. : The speakers in the current events topics were Miss Watson and' Mrs. Culverwell. Afternoon tea was served later.
