AUCKLAND TRAVEL CLUB
ADDRESSES BY VISITORS Two interesting addresses were features of the weekly morning tea of the Auckland Travel Club held in the Milne and Choyce Reception Hall yesterday. Sirs. Victor Macky presided. The first speaker was Miss Helen Ben bow, of England, general secretary to the women helpers of Toe H. Miss Benbow gave a resume of the origin of the movement and said it was "a living memorial carrying on the traditions of fellowship and service." Interesting impressions of a visit to Italy were given by Miss Gertrude Bertram.
During the morning, Miss Peggy Beaumont contributed two recitations. Floral shoulder sprays were presented by Mrs. Macky to Mrs. W. C. Beaumont, Miss Benbow, Miss Bertram and Miss Beaumont.
Among the overseas and out-of-town guests were: —Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Raud, Mrs. F. Nicholls, Miss M. Bedford (England), Mr. and Mrs. Stafford Solomon (Bahamas), Mrs. Chevalier South Africa), Mrs. A. McMahon, Miss Betty McMahon (Sydney), Miss D. Thaclier (Melbourne), Mrs. M. Murdoch (Christchurch). Mrs. R. B. Lambert (Ashburton), Mrs. L. C. Robinson, Mrs. "W. Duncan, Mrs. F. C. Johnson (Wellington), Mrs. A. C. McEwan (Invercargill), Mrs. and Miss Z. M. Havbittle (Feilding), Mrs. C. Rocklcy (Thames), Mrs. W. L. Brett (Rotorua).
