TO POLE IN SUBMARINE
SIR H. WILKINS' PLANS ANOTHER ATTEMPT NEXT YEAR CHICAGO, April 10 Sir Hubert Wilkins will make a second attempt to cross the North Pole by submarine in the spring of 1939. The submarine will be 75 feet long, 14ft. in diameter, and equipped with a retractable conning tower through which iceboring mechanism will operate.
