Mrs. A. Howey "Walker, of View Road, Mount Eden, has returned from Palmerston North.

Mrs. Henry A. Horrocks, who has been paying a brief visit to Auckland, returned to Whakatane yesterday.

Mrs. David Scott, of Hamilton, has returned after staying for some time at Glenalvon, Waterloo Quadrant.

Mrs. E. J. F. Kennedy, of Cambridge, is visiting Auckland to farewell members of the New Zealand polo team.

M iss Lelia Headlam, of Tasmania, is visiting Auckland and is staying with her sifter, Mrs. Frank Burgoyne, Mission Bay.

Mrs. J. Tyson, Devon .Street, Rotorua, is spending a holiday in Palmerston North with her niece, Mrs. J. G. Fitzgerald.

Mrs. A. J. Young, of Paeroa, is spending a holiday in Devonport and is staying with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Gainor Jackson.

Mrs. David Ewen, of Melling, Lower Hutt, will arrive in Auckland on Thursday morning to join the Empress of Britain for England.

Mrs. Gilmore Rogers and Mrs. Lionel Crowley, of Tauranga, will leave by the Awatea to-day on a visit to Sydney and Melbourne.

Mrs. E. Johnson, of New Guinea, will arrive by the Niagara on April 18 to visit her mother, Mrs. F. H. Mueller. Hot Springs, Helensville.

Mrs. John Hill has taken up her residence in Mount Hobson Road, Remuera. Accompanied by her family, she will leave on Thursday to spend Easter at Orewa.

Mrs. E. 0. Stocker, of Sydney, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs. G. A. Gribbin, Calliope Road, Devonport. will return h,ome by the Mariposa on Thursday.

Mrs. J. Wilson, of Inverness, Scotland, who has been visiting her brother at Ardmore, has left for Roto rua to spend a few days fishing before returning to Scotland.

At the Central Hotel are:—Mrs. D. Cameron and Mrs. R. Munro (Brisbane), Mrs. J. B. MacDiarmid (Tauranga), Mrs. R. Chesney (Napier) and Mrs. G. Meikle (Te Aroha).

Mrs. H. Nichols (Bognor Regis, England), Mrs. D. Porter and Miss H. Porter (Hawaii), Mrs. D. S. Anderson and Miss Nancy Anderson (Wellington) and Miss Alisoun Carey (Christchtich) are at the Grand Hotel.

Mrs. Paul Thompson, of Devonport, will leave by the Mariposa on Thursday for Sydney, where she will connect with the jervis Bay en route to England. She will tour Europe, Canada and the United States before returning to New Zealand in about 12 months' time.

Mrs. C. G Vosper (Cambridge). Mrs. C. Morgan and Mrs. Earle Johnston (Matamata), Mrs. J. 11. Kay and Mrs. L. R. Kay (Te Awamutu), Mrs. C. de Vere Chitty (Hamilton), and Mrs. K. Henry, will leave by the Awatea to-day for Sydney with the New Zealand polo team.

Mrs. Morgan Duncan, of Wellington, who, with her three children, has been staying with her mother, Mrs. H. G. Lewis, Wanganui, will leave shortly for Sydney, to which city Mr. Morgan Duncan was transferred from Wellington some time ago. Mrs. Lewis will accompany her daughter and grandchildren to Australia.

Mrs. Walter A. Brown (Riverside, California),' Mrs. G. W. Claridge, Mrs. L. S. Smillie, Mrs. C. M. Bond, Miss I. Robertson and Miss Peggy Price (Wellington), Mrs. L. Corner (Christchurch), Mrs. A. C. Birch (Masterton), Mrs. J. Williams and Mrs. G. E. Cotterill (Aorangi, East Cape) and Mrs. D. Alexander (Auckland) are at the Station Hotel.

Mrs. Westlake Piatt, of Hongkong, who is a passenger on the Empress of Britain, flew from Wellington to Auckland on Sunday so that she might have more time to spend with relatives in Auckland. At present she is staying with Mrs. W. T. Piatt at St. Heliers Bay and on Friday she will rejoin her twin sons, who are travelling with her on the cruise liner.

Mrs. L. M. Bingham, of Auckland, and Mrs. A. 10. Madill, of Hamilton, travelled to England together via Australia and Suez, calling at many ports of interest en route, wrote our London correspondent on March 23. They arrived in London early in March and are staying in Russell Square. They expect to be in England for som* months and have planned a tour by car, hoping to include Scotland and Ireland.
