ELLERSLIE TRACK

JOCKEY FOR STRETTO F. E. BAKER TO HAVE MOUNT LAMENESS OF LLANGOLLEN I lie tracks at Ellerslie are in perfect order, having benefited by recent rain, and in the event of the weather remaining tine, fast times should be recorded in the course of the final training tor the autumn meeting, which opens on Saturday Although 110 fast work was attempted yesterday, the presence of several visitors lent interest to the proceedings, among those to appear being Glenogil, Tosh. Kilberis and Lueidus. tseful work 011 the sand was allotted to Glenogil, whose appearance does not suggest that she is anything out of the ordinary, although she looks well. at I!iccarton in February. However, she lias given some encouragement thai she will stay, ami in that case her presence should stimulate interest, in the Great Northern Oaks. 'I he Easter Handicap aspirant, Llangollen, was trotting in the iniddlo. Although there is improvement in her condition, she is still tender.
