ifl-HE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE better tone develops Under the influence of more favourable reports from overseas a brighter tone was evident on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Buyers operated more freely in most sections of the market and levels of a wide range of investments wore distinctly firmer at the close. A feature of trading was a stronger market for Farmers' Tradings. This company completed its financial year \on .March ,'U and since then support for the shares has steadily improved. Leading Australian issues all met with better inquiry which was reflected jn rises on sole in (». J/Coles, Woolworths (Syd). Broken Hill Proprietary - (Con.) and Electrolytic Zincs.
