PEDESTRIAN'S DEATH
STRUCK BY MOTOR-CAR CORONER EXONERATES DRIVER An inquest concerning the death ot David Bede Reidy. a retired railway servant, aged about 55, of Papatoetoc, concluded to-day at Papakura. It was stated that Reidy was knocked down by a motor-car at.1:30 a.m on Christmas Day on the Great South Road at Papakura. The car was driven by George Keith Leece, a motor mechanic, of To Aroha. After evidence had been called, the coroner, Mr. T. F. Shell, said there appeared to bo no blame attached to the driver of tho car. A verdict was returned that Reidj s death was due to_ shock following injuries through being hit by a car.
