LONDON AIR MAIL
CONNECTION MISSED DELAY TO THE AWATEA As a result of the day's delay in the arrival at Auckland from Sydney of the Union Company's transtasman liner Awatea sho will not be able to carry air mail to connect with the aeroplane leaving on the Australia" Singapore-England route on Ihursday. The Awatea will leave Auckland at fivo o'clock this afternoon for Sydney, where she is due on Friday morning, and her air mail will wait for the aeroplane leaving oil Monday and reaching London on May 1. Had she sailed as scheduled last evening her mail would have arrived in London on April 25. Air mail leaving Auckland for Sydney by the Mariposa on Thursday will also reach London on May 1.
