REDUCTIONS IN RATES EXTENSION OF BENEFITS (Received April 10, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April » It is officially announced that the new Empire wireless and cable rates will also be applicable to traffic between the Dominions and colonics. The new rates will be introduced on April 25. The reductions will result all round in mutual sacrifices. A White Paper estimates that the benefit of the proposed reductions to the public at home and overseas will be nearly £500,000 a year. Further reductions will be made should the stimulus to traffic reach expectations.

For this joint handling of a problem of common concern, of a kind which must become increasingly frequent under the Statute of Westminster, there are still a few precedents."
