SOUTH-WEST AFRICA DEMANDS REJECTED CAPETOWN, April S The South-West African Assembly rejected a German motion that German be recognised as the official language, that a German mandate be instituted, and that citizenship be open to European immigrants instead of them beinc forced to take out British naturalisation papers. The debate was significant owing to the defiant attitude of the German leaders.
