DIVORCE DECREES
UNDEFENDED CASES EIGHT PETITIONS GRANTED Eight undefended divorce petitions were granted by Mr. Justice Fair in the Supreme Court yesterday. Evidence that her husband had deserted her in May, 1928, was given by Roma Dulcie Heke (Mr. A. Woods), in support of her petition for divorce from Edward Heke, to whom she was married in December, 1925. The petitioner said she had maintained herself ever since her husband left her.
His Honor granted a decree nisi, with interim custody of the children to the petitioner. The existence of a separation agreement for more than three years was the ground on which decrees nisi were granted to Frank Cvril Hawes (Mr. Field) against Catherine Mary Hawes (Mr. A. Burns) and Kathleen Francis Rule Black bo urn (Mr. Turner) against Maurice Henry Blackbourn. The respondent having failed to comply with an order "for the restitution of conjugal rights, Ephe Ingham (Mr. McCarthy) was granted a decree nisi against Mavis Dennett Ingham. Decrees nisi. were granted to the petitioners in the following cases on the ground that adultery • had been E roved against the respondent:— lorothy Beer (Mr. L. G. Simpson) against Cecil Clive Beer; Hilda Elizabeth Turner (Mr. McCarthy) against Arthur Howard Turner; Ivy Aldyth Williams (Mr. Turner) against James Gordon Williams; Luke Felix Morgan (Mr. Turner) against Nellie Morgan and John William Williamson.
