Parry, will be unable to visit the district to attend the official opening of the Uruika meeting house at Rotoiti at the weekend. In reply to a request by Maori people that he perform the opening ceremony the Minister stated: —"I have asked the Hon. P. C. Webb, who will act on behalf of the Government, and in my place, kindly to convey to all assembled at the gathering my <ieep regret at not being able to join' with them on this great occasion."
