Maxwell beat Misses R. anil G. Bell, (>—o, 6—2. CHAMPIONSHIPS IN SYDNEY NEW ZEALANDERS REACH FINALS r (Received March 8, 0.20 p.m. SYDNEY. March 8 Further results in the New South Wales junior tennis championships are as follows: Combined Doubles, under 21. —Sidwell (New South Wales) and Miss P. Cooke (New Zoaland) beat Bennett (New South Wales) and Miss M. Beverley (New Zealand), 6—4, 4—6, o—3. This was a spectacular game. All four played splendidly and the New Zealand girls created a very favourable impression by the way they stood at the net. and volleyed all hard shots sent them by the men players. Girls' Singles, under 21. —Semi-final: Miss Douthett (New Zealand) beat Miss Farrell (New South Wales), 6 —4, o—2. Last year Miss Farrell won this event. This year the title will rest between Miss Douthett and Miss Beverley, both New Zealandors. Girls' Singles, under 19.—Miss Armstrong (New Zealand) beat Miss Fisher (New Sonth Wales), o—2,0 —2, I—6, 6—4. This brings Miss Armstrong into the final, in which she will play Miss Harley (New Sonth Wales). Girls' Singles, under 17.—Miss Marchant (New South "Wales) beat Miss Hodges (New Zealand), 6—3. PASCOE CUP FINAL The final of the Pascoe Cup inter-house lawn tennis competition will be decided tonight at the Clive Road courts. Farmers' Trading Company No. 1 team und Johns, Limited, which are the finalists, both steady players, and the issue should be closely and keenly contested.
