HOSPITAL ADDITIONS

IMPROVEMENTS IN WAIKATO ERECTION OF NEW PREMISES [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday Considerable activity in the construction of additions to hospitals in the Waikato district has taken place during the past few months. A £43,000 loan was raised by the Waikato Hospital Board last year to construct the new central block at the Waikato Hospital, the new board offices in Marlborough Place, and additional accommodation at the nurses' homo at Rotorua. The Rotorua work is completed and occupied, the Marlborough Place premises are well under construction and it is expected that they will bo occupied by the middle of February, while the new central block is likely to be brought into commission about next September. The latest fire and earthquake resisting construction has been embodied in the central block and board offices.
