WEDDING MUDDLE
BEST MAN AMUSED IRISH VILLAGE COMEDY LONDON, Nov. 14 "Clothes make tho groom" seems to he a maxim governing weddings in Ireland. Tho host man, Albert Muldoon, offers that as tho explanation of Friday's incident in a village church in County Tyrone, in which lie took the bridegroom's plnco beside the bride at tho altar rails and waited until the clergyman had returned to the vestry before informing him of his error, necessitating the hasty re-enactment of the ceremony with tho correct parties. Muldoon ascribes the situation to his being better dressed than the bridegroom, and adds: "I nearly died laughing when i realised the mistake." Muldoon filled tho part of tho best man at tho last minute, the minister placing him and the bride in position side by side. Muldoon put the ring on the bride's finger but made 110 responses throughout tho ceremony, only a portion of which had to be repeated.
