MORE NEW POLICE
THE AUCKLAND STAFF 23 CONSTABLES THIS WEEK RECRUITS FROM THE DEPOT With the arrival of 23 new constables from the special training depot at Featherston toward the end of this week the staffing arrangements in the Auckland police force necessitated through the shorter hours will be greatly facilitated. The new constables are members of a draft of 60 recruits ■who entered the depot about three months ago to. be distributed throughout- the Dominion.
The men assigned to Auckland will also fill vacancies created through the transfer of several Auckland constables in recent months.
