Sir —ln reply to "Digger's" letter in Friday's Hi:n.w.i>, re tlie above, the following appeared in the Herald some years ago: —"Apply to the wound spirits of ammonia frequently and liberally; also carefully sip sonic ammonia diluted \\;ith water. Continue tlie treatment both externally and internally until a medical man can be brought. If some time is to pass before a doctor can see "the patient, after the first three or four sippings of the ammonia then add a little brandy to it as well as water. Don't fail to get medical attention as soon as possible lor the case is serious." C.lt.
