DONATION OF £IOO
MODELS FOR ZOOLOGY WORK A donation of £IOO to_ provide models to assist the work in zoology at Auckland University College was received from Mr. E. Earle Vailc at a meeting of the college council yesterday. Mr. Vailc said he was impressed with the remarkable collections of the lecturer, Mr. W. 11. McGregor, and suggested that the council should subsidise the gift The president, Mr. H. J. D. Mahon, said the donation was not the first made by Mr. Vailc. He had previously given £250 to the library. It was unfortunate that, with its limited funds, the council could not subsidise the gift, for which it was particularly grateful.
