ARABS FATALLY SHOT
CLASHES WITH POLICE
ARRESTS OF ZIONISTS By Telegraph—Press Association —Copy right (Received November 15, 5.5 p.m.) JERUSALEM. Nov. 1-1 Two Arabs were fatally shot today, one in the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem. Three others were seriously injured and another was arrested in possession of a revolver, for which ho is liable to tho death penalty. Still another Arab was arrested for throwing a bomb in a street. A party of police on the Jericho Road fatally shot an Arab who was alleged to have been smuggling arms. Two girls wero shot from a car and later (.Jicd. A message from Tel el Viv states that Eri Jabotinskv, president of the Zionist Youth Organisation, and Dr. Yon a Frculeich, ex-president, have been arrested in connection with Jewish reprisals, as tho result of which fivo Arabs, including two Christian women, are alleged to have been killed. Between (SO and 40 other Zionists have been arrested and more aro expected to ho arrested and imprisoned at Acre, or deported. REBEL ARAB ARMY SYRIAN DOCTOR'S ACTION A RECRUITING SLOGAN JERUSALEM, Nov. 9 A Syrian doctor is raising a rebel Arab army in the hills along tho Jordan River. He is Dr. Amine Rowaliy, aged 10, who fled to Bagdad from Syria alter lighting against the French in lOL'6. His recruiting slogan is: "Free treatment for the wounded." The effectiveness of the slogan lies in tho fact that wounded rebels are afraid to visit doctors, lest questions be asked of them. Rowahy, after his flight from Syria, joined the staff of a leading Bagdad hospital. He has a complete set of medical instruments and a substantial measure of medical skill. Tho doctor comes of a family of aristocratic Moslems owning much land m North-west Syria. His elder brother is a well-known Arabic classical poet, and Dr. Rowahy himself has written many articles on a diversity of subjects. His Armenian Christian wife is living in Bagdad in ignorance of her husband's latest political activities.
