ENGLISHMAN'S MATCH DUCKWORTH'S EXPERIENCE LONDON, Oct. 5 G. O. Allen, who captained the last English cricket team in Australia, related at a luncheon at the Savoy Hotel how Duckworth had asked him for permission in Australia to play in a match against Tfomen cricketers. "1 went along to see him play in the match," said Allen, ."and arrived just in time to see him mounting the pavilion steps on the way back from the crease. I asked him how he had fared. "Duckworth replied: 'Not very well, but I have made two very good dates.' " Commenting on the tour, Allen said that, as. it was best forgotten. However, he paid a tribute to the kindness and hospitality of Australians.
