WEDDING

MORRISON—O'BRIEN A pretty spring wedding of interest to a wide circle of friends took place last evening at Holy Trinity Church, Devonport, when Katherine, onl.V daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. O'Brien, Vauxhall lioad, Devonport, was married to John Wvnyard, only son of Mr. E. J. Morrison, of Auckland. The ceremony was performed by Canon E. B. Strong, of St. John's Collego, and the organist was Mr. Salmon. During the service a solo was sung by Miss Marjorie Home. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a graceful bouffant frock, slightly trained, of white mousseline de soie, hand-tucked at intervals with horizontal inch tucks, from neckline to hem. The Victorian bodice had very full puff sleeves, a tiny roll collar and sprigs of orange blossom and gardenias down the centre front. A three-tiered veil of filmy tulle, held in place by a coronet, of orango blossom and lily-of-tlip-valley, formed a second train. She carried a bouquet of lily-of-the-valley. In attendance were Miss Joy op Gooding,' Miss Audrey Morrison a:od Miss Helen Schmidt, who wore unusiual and charming frocks of palest pink istarched chiffon, lacquered with field flowers. Loosely tied bows finished the plain necks and were at the waistline of the full* skirts. They wore coronets and bracelets of Japanese cherry blossom and carried sheaves of the same flowers. The bridegroom was aattended by Mr. W J. Foote (Morrinsville), Mr. Eric O'Brien and Mr. Bill Rees George. After the ceremony a reception and dance was held at the Pirate Ship Cabaret, where Mrs. O'Brien received in a graceful frock of navy silk net embroidered in white and a hat to match. Her bouquet was of yellow irises and cornflowers. Mrs. B. Raynes, aunt of the bridegroom, wore a smart navy and white patterned chiffon redingote and a nuvy pedal straw hat, and carried a. bouquet' of cyclamen.
