HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE The brilliant operatic drama "Ruimyliicde," which is experiencing a successful season at His Majesty's Theatre, will be presolited at. two performances to-day, a matinee at 2.30 and in tho evening at 7.45. Written, composed and produced by Dr. George do Clivo Lowe, "Runnyniede," which tolls the story of events loading up to tho signing of Magna Carta, was produced in commemoration of tho Coronation ot King George and Queen Elizabeth. A leading part in the story is taken by the Karl of Winton, who was robbed of his estates by King John and sent to tho Tower. He managed to escape, • howover, and was ono of the loaders of tho barons when they forced the King'to yield to their demands at Hunnymcde. Uomantio interest is lent to the talo by tho lovo story of the Kari and Lady Constance, daughter of the Karl of Warwick. "Hunnymedo" does not depend for all its appeal on tho merits of the story. A feature of tho production is tho lavish manner in which ovcry scene is presented, and tho brilliant colour of the medieval dresses. There is singing and dancing of an exceptionally high standnrd, which gives variety to tho dramatic sido of the pageant. Twelve tahleaux conclude tho presentation, in which the outstanding events iu Kngland's history aro illustrated in vivid manner. Hooking arrangements aro advertised.
