AUCKLAND CITY CLUB A record attondanco marked the annual mcoting of tho Auckland City Defence Riflo Club, Mr. H. G. Collingwood presiding. In his address tho president referred to tho successful past season. Tho club had secured wins in tho North Auckland Riflo Association championship, tho Auckland Military meeting, tho tyro championship at tho Auckland Riflo Association's meeting, and the champion teams' match for servico shooting at the National Riflo Association's meeting for the second time in succession. Club titles for tho past season were won as follows: —Championship, P. Bowes: club avorago, C. J. M. Clark; servico championship, R. C. Russell; B grade championship, H. G. Collingwood: handicap championship, A. J. Pietorson. Tho election of club officers resulted as follows:—Presidont, Mr. 11. G. Collinßwood; deputy-president, Mr. R. C. Russell; committeo,' Messrs. P. Bowes, P. Gwilliam, A. W. Harris, D. P. Pcrrin and H. Simmonds; honorary secretary, Mr. C. J. M. Clark: honorary treasurer, Mr. A. G. Dovore; honorary auditor. Mr. A. Sommerville; selector, Mr. H. G. Collingwood; handicappers. Messrs. C. J. M. Clark and A. W. Harris.
MINIATURE CHAMPIONSHIPS SOUTH ISLAND WINNERS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] TIMARU, Sunday The South Island miniature riflo championships woro held horo last night, particularly fine shooting boing witnessed. Thero were 185 entries for tho individual championship, competitors coming from Greymouth, Christchurch, Oamaru and Invercargill. Twenty-five teams competed in tho teams championship, and thoro woro 24 competitors for the ladies' championship. 4 Tho Roberts target, with motnc inner bull, was used, and this probably accountod for tho largo number of possibles recorded. In the individual championship thero were no fewer than 23 possibles, nine of which woro counted out of tho prizo list. In tho championship aggrogato thero woro six double possibles and 20 with one .point down. In tho ladies' championship Misses Stewart (Glen-iti) and RuJo (Orari) tied with 157 and on tho re-check Miss Stewart won. Mrs. Brown (Pleasant Point) was third with 150. For tho men's championship six tied and 'on tho ro-chcck W. Bradshaw (Timaru) won. with W. ' Heads (Timaru) second and G. Campbell (Oamaru) third. . The teams' championship was won by Timaru A with 398, which included four possibles. United (Christchnrch) and Weston (Oamaru) were egual, second, with 807.
