PLACEMENT SERVICE
FIGURES FOR THE WEEK OFFICE REORGANISATION A total of 149 placements in private employment, of which four were in respect of women, was recorded by the Auckland Placement Service this week. Thirty-nine placements -were classed as casual, 60 as temporary and 50 as permanent. In addition 53 men were sent to Government and local body works.
It has been necessary to reorganise the lay-out at the placement office and to enlarge the accommodation. Crintact officers will now deal with applicants at cubicles instead of at tables in an open office.
