| AUCKLAND LADIES' CLUB An increase in membership, a credit balance of over £3O, and a sound position generally were disclosed in the report and balance-sheet of the Auckland Ladies' Rowing Club presented at the annual meeting this week. The report stated that the two clinker fours, owned by the club were free of debt and in good condition. The season was a very successful one. A crew was sent to the Mercer regatta and. although it was unsuccessful, the club's representatives were commended for their style. The first club race rowed in pair-oars resulted in a win for Misses I. Waters and L. Reed. The election of officers resulted as follows."— Patron, Hon. E. W. Alison; president, the Mayoress, Mrs. E. Davis; vice-presidents. Mesdames J. Aitchcson, H. Dyson, K. Meyers, A. C. Norden; club captain.' Miss T. Warren; deputy-captain, Miss V. Bull; hon. secretary and treasurer. Miss E. Waters; committee. Misses I. Waters, T. Holland, L. Reed; hon. auditor, Mr. K. Wallace; hon. solicitor. Mr. L. Phillips; hon. doctor, Dr. V. Usher; club coaches, Messrs. J. Dawes and G. Barratt; hon. members, Messrs. Hallyburton Johnstone and A. C. Norden. In recognition of services rendered Mrs. E. F. Brant was elected the first lifo member.
