THE SAVOY OPERAS

SEASON BEGINS ON MONDAY Miss Strella Wilson, a soprano of -a quality seldom heard in New Zealand,, will appear as Casilda in "The Gondoliers," which will be presented by th© J., o.' Williamson Company at His Majesty's Theatre for a season commencing on Monday night. Mius Wilson has the dainty manner which makes Gilbert and Sullivan operas so popular, and her acting, serious and comic, leaves little room for improvement. Mr. Ivan Menzies, in the part of the Duke of Plaza Toro, seems certain to repeat his success of a few months ago, while the supporting artists include Evelyn Hall and Gregorv Stroud. Other Savoy operas will follow "Tho Gondoliers."
