RETURN FROM AUSTRALIA PASSENGER BY THE AWATEA [BY TKLKGRArH PRESS ASSOCIATION] "WELLINGTON, Monday Passengers by the Awatca, which arrived from Sydney this morning, included Miss Jean Batten and Mrs. Batten. Flight-Lieutenant A. T. Nevill, who was in England as a liaison officer and to complete his training, also arrived to take up the post of staff officer to the Director of Air Services. Another passenger was Lord Balfour of Burleigh, a director of the National Bank of Now Zealand. His trip is purely a business one, but he is looking forward to seeing the scenery of New Zealand. He said that at Homo they were watching New Zealand's legislation with the closest interest and sympathy.
