VISIT TO WHITIANGA [by telegraph OWN correspondent] WHITIANGA, Monday The Minister of Lands, the Hon. F. Langstone, accompanied by Mr. J. Thorn, M.P., Messrs. A. D. McGarock, Director of Forestry, P. D. Campbell, conservator of State Forests, and K. M. Graham, commissioner of Crown lands, visited the district on Saturday, considering land settlement and forestry problems at Wliangamata. They arrived at Whitianga iu the evening and attended the local picture theatre. At the interval, Mr. Thorn introduced the Minister, who commended the scenic beauty of the district and conveved greetings from the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage. The official party was entertained at suppei at the residence of Mr. 0. P. Liddell, secretary of the Mercury Pay branch of the Labour Party. They left vesterdav morning for Thames, via Coromandel.
