MATCHES IN AUCKLAND THIRD ROUND DECIDED POSITIONS AND PERCENTAGES Splendid conditions favoured tho third round of the Auckland Bowling Centre's inter-club pennant competition'on Saturday. As a result of the recent fine weather, all greens were in first-class order. Thre was a change among the three leaders in section A, in which Hallyburton-John-stone, previously third, is now leading as the result of five wins out of six games. The Carlton Club has dropped back to second place, about 4 per cent behind tho leader. Stanley, previously second, is now third, equal with West. End, which lias moved up from ninth place. Waiuku made a pronounced forward move and is next on the list. Mangere is still at tho top of section B with a slightly increased percentage, while Otahuhu also retains its former position of second, but with a slightly lower percentage. Grey Lynn is equal with Otahuhu. while Pukekohe, previously sixth, is now fourth. Ponsonby is next, about 10 per cent behind the leader. In addition to six rinks competing from the Cortland Club, the Kensington and Whangarei Clubs each had five competing riliks. Three rounds were played, at the conclusion of which three teams, skipped respectively by T. 11. Stewart, \V. ,J. Orr and 11. J. S. Piggott, each of Hie Whangarei Club, tied with three wins.
