JUSTICES' ASSOCIATION

FRANKLIN BRANCH OFFICERS [by TEr.KORAPII —OWN correspondent] PUKEKOiIK, Thursday At the annual meeting of the Franklin branch of the Justices' Association Mr. C. K. Lawrie presided. Tlio Auckland executive was represented by Messrs. J. B. Paterson, M. Guthrie. A. J. Stratford and C. Wheeler. The report mentioned that the Franklin branch was proud to number among its members Mr. J. T. Sternbridgo. who had completed 40 years as a J.P. Opportunity had been taken at the association's recent social reunion in Auckland to present Mr. Stembridge with a gold-mounted fountain pen in recognition of Ins record, the presentation being made by Mr. V. A. Co.yle, president of the Auckland association. The following officers were elected by the mooting:—President, Mr. E. Allan; vice-president, Mr. L. W. Kcals; secretary, Mr. J. 15. McKinney; committee, Messrs. A. M. Barribnll, C. J. Leathern, J. Fulton, C. K.. Lawrie, and it. H. Robinson.
