PROSECUTION OF GROCER Pleading guilty to having failed to close his grocery store at the statutory hour, "William 'Williams was convicted and ordered to pay 10s costs by Mr. I'. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Onehunga Magistrate's Court yesterday. The inspector of factories stated that on April 16 he noticed defendant's shop door open at 6.5 p.m., whereas it should have been closed at 5.30 p.m. On entering the shop ho saw a boy coming out carrying a box of groceries which the latter said wore for delivery. The magistrate told defendant that he must deliver his goods in statutory hours and see that his door was closed punctually at the prescribed hour.
