CONTEST IN SYDNEY
LURICH DEFEATS SINGH (Received July 12, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, July V2 At the Leichhardt Stadium last evening Lurich defeated Haban Singh by two falls to one after t!0 minut.-s' wrestling in a contest scheduled for two hours. Sin-rh took tho first fall after the bout had been in progress for :iO minutes with an octopus hold. Lurich then gained a fall with a back-loop slam, which left the Indian "groggy," and immediately on resuming Lurich repeated the process to win the contest.
