MUSEUM LECTURE

JOURNEY IN LITTLE TIBET -Tho people, plants and scenery of Little Tibet formed the subject of a lecture given at the Auckland War Memorial Museum yesterday by Professor Arnold Wall who, several years ago, visited the country of Ladak from Kashmir. Ho illustrated his lecture with n large number of lantern slides from photographs taken by himself. Tho lecture -hall was filled. Professor Wall described by means of his slides tho nature of the countrv through which he passed, its towns, villages, and monastries, its peoples and some of the plants he found in the more mountainous districts. He also referred a climb ho had made up the Khardung Pass, which rises to a height of ]B,oooft., on tho route to Chiueso Turkestan.
