Auriol. In a broadcast speech the Minister urged generous participation in the issue by rich and poor alike to enable confidence to be restored, exchange improved and prices lowered. The bonds are of various denominations between 200 and 100,000 francs. For one year they bear 4 per cent interest and for six months ,ii per cent, both payable in advance. The Bank of France has reduced its discount rate to 3 per cent from 4 per cent to which it was reduced on June 25.
