A WIND BELL
This little wind bell is made on the lines of those used in Japan to hang in doorways op on veraudahs, or in gardens. When a breeze blows they make a delightful tinkling sound, and they also look very pretty. To make a small wind bell for yourself, first cut out a circle of fairly thick cardboard, and colour it brightly with your paints. Then thread a number of cottons of different lengths through the card, knotting each one at the top
side so that it will not slip through. Now, get some odd little pieces of thin' glass and fix each piece to an end of cotton by means of sealing wax or by little scraps of gummed paper, through which you have knotted the end of the cotton. Lastly, knot a piece of cord through the centre of the cardboard disc, and hang vour little model in the open air or in a doorway, and listen for the wind to make it tinkle prettily, just like a real wind-bell.
