WELCOME CHANGE
A NIGHT AT THE PLAY In "All Star Cast" Miss Naomi Roydo Smith gives us what is welcome in an age of so many novelty in construction. Our memories may indeed go back to "Fanny's First Play," in which we wore shown a drama and the critics' reaction to it; but Miss Roydo Smith, transferring the notion to the realm of the novel, handles it with entire originality. Wo are given an analytical description of a crime-drama with the intriguing title "Tho Ace of Wands," written by an imaginary William Honishaw and played bv imaginary actors forming all "all star" cast; and as accompanying commentary wo aro given the. opinions of a group of critics, headed by an enthusiastic novice, David Winter, and of other typical firstnighters. Composed with an admirable economy of words (there aro only about 200 pages) tho book moves swiftly and does not for a moment let our attention stray. "All Star Cast," by Naomi Roydo Smith.
