TENNIS PRIZE DANCE

NORTH S)H ORE FUNCTION The annual prize distribution dance of the Birkenhead and Northcote Tennis Club, held in the King's Theatre, Northcote, was a very successful function, and was greatly enjoyed. Mrs. H. W. Tver, wearing a frock of black taffetas, was the hostess, and assisted her husband, who is the president of the club, in welcoming the gathering, 'lho floor arrangements were in the charge of Mr. 11. P. lilngeniuth. The music was supplied by an orchestra under Mr. A. Callinan, anil dance extras were played by Mr. W. McKinstry. The ladies' committee, in addition to Mrs. Iyer, comprised Mrs. H. 11. Clark, whose frock was o;f black velvet; Mrs. 1,. 10. Joy, in chenille georgette; Miss M. Newman, in lloral taffetas; and Miss M. Broush, in piitk crepe de chine. In presenting tho trophies, the president, Mr. 11. W. Tver, expressed satisfaction at the standard of play maintained, and congratulated Miss Jean Hansen oji her success in tho various competitions.
