FIRM MARKET EXPECTED CONSUMPTION SATISFACTORY STOCKS BELOW NORMAL The London market for butter is expected to remain firm in the meantime, according to cabled advice received by A. H. Turnhull and Company, Limited, from W. Weddel and Company, Limited. Weddels state that consumption lias continued on a satisfactory level and it, is anticipated that the peak load of stocks of the year, which generally occurs about the first, week in August, will bo very much below normal. Prospects for cheese are bright and there is more likely to be an improvement in the market than a decline, the firm states. Consumption is good and stocks are considerably below normal.
