Mr. C. K. Gricrson Teturned from Wellington by yesterday morning's limited express.

Mr. E. L. Wilcock returned by the Monterey yesterday from a holiday visit to Great Britain.

Mr. ID. Holderness, acting-superinten-dent of the Auckland Harbour Board, returned from Wellington yesterday.

Mr. W. C. Barry, director of the livestock division of the Department of Agriculture, is. at the Station Hotel.

Mr. J. Wood, acting engineer-in-chief of the Public Works Department, left for Wellington by the limited express last evening.

Captain R. C. Hammond, general manager of the Northern Steamship Company, Limited, returned from Wellington by train yesterday morning.

Mr. L. J. Drummond was yesterday admitted by Mr. Justice Callan as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court, on the motion of Mr. R. JNlero dith.

Mr. F. S. Reed, advertising manager for the Goodyear Rubber Company, in Sydney, was a through passenger by the Monterey from Los Angeles yesterday, after spending a holiday in tho United States. He is accompanied by Mrs. Reed. Captain T. R. Wilbraham, an officer of the Rifle Brigade, passed through Auckland by the Monterey yesterday en route to Melbourne, where he will take up the position of aide-de-camp to the Governor of Victoria, Lord Huntingfield. Mr. E. B. Glnnvil!?, agricultural instructor at Dargaville, has received notice of his transfer to Whangarei, where he will succeed Mr. G. J. Hamblyn, who has been transferred to Palinerston North. Mr. Glanville will be succeeded by Mr. E. H. Arnold, in*, structor at Ruakura, Hamilton.
