PROPOSED RAILWAY

LINE TO INANGAHUA EARLY START PREDICTED [by telegraph OWN correspondent] WESTPORT, Sunday It is reported that the proposed Inangahua-Westport railway is to be completed by the Government and that a start will be made with the work within the next fortnight. Officials of the Railway Department and Public Works Department inspected the proposed route this week. Tho distance between Inangahua and WestporC is 28 miles. The work was started in the time of the late Mr. Richard Seddon and then abandoned after 12 miles of formation work had been completed. It was recommenced about seven years ago and abandoned for a second time in 1933 after further formation work had been done.
