STEEL CONSTRUCTION
BLEDISLOE HALL EXAMPLE ERITISH ENGINEERS' BOOKLET [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday The recognised authority on steel construction in Great Britain, the British Steelwork Association, is according a unique honour to the Waikato Winter Show Association, and to New Zealand, by devoting one of its booklets describing recent advancements entirely to Bledisloe Hall. According to an air mail letter received by the secretary of the Waikato Winter Show, Mr. W. H. Paul, this booklet is being published in London about the present time. Working in conjunction with a committee of leading engineers, the British Steelwork Association, which is a nonprofit earning institution, has been devoting its energies toward the improvement of steel design, particularly in buildings and bridges. Its action in so dealing with the Bledisloe Hall is the strongest possible evidence, that New Zealand has made an important contribution to progress in the use of steel.
