FOOTBALL CASUALTIES
FIVE MEN IN HOSPITAL Five footballers were admitted to the Auckland Hospital suffering from concussion received while playing in competition games on Saturday afternoon. Their condition last night was reported to bo satisfactory. The players, who were taken to hospital by St. John ambulances, were: —James Henry Hill, a motor mechanic, aged 16, of 114 Park Road; Frank Reid, a packer, aged 19, of 20 Arabi Street, Sandringham; Frederick Wilson, a butcher, aged 18, of 16 Rata Street, New Lynn, Claude Dempsey, a postman, aged 25, of 13 Fernleigh Street, Ponsonby; and Clifford Satherley, aged 27, of 235 Ponsonby Road.
