BRIDGE TOURNAMENT

The Whangarei Croquet Club held the fir£fc of a series of "winter bridge tournaments in Pelita's studio on Monday afternoon. Fourteen tables ■were engaged in play and the guests ,vere welcomed by the president, Mis. G. H.. Morrish. The decorations comprised bowls of chrysanthemums and African marigolds. The prize-winners were Mrs. H. A. Good and Mrs. Spencer Dav. The hostesses were Mesdames G. Harrison. K. Halliday, J. Walker and T. Woodman. Among 'those present were:—Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. P.
