BLOMFIELD-FORSGREN BOUT New Zealanders have good reason to appreciate the qualities of Canadian professional wrestlem, and Auckland enthusiasts will receive an introduction to the latest arrival from that country on Saturday night when Jack Forsgren will meet . the local professional, " Lofty" Blomfield, in the Town Hall. Forsgren is an exceptionally big man, being 6ft in height and weighing nearly 17st., while he is extremely strong. Forsgren won the professional championship ot Canada after McCready left for New Zealand last year. After becoming prominent as an all-round athlete, Forsgren specialised in wrestling and won the amateur light-heavy and heavyweight Canadian titles in successive years. He has been a professional for tho past six or seven years, and in that time has wrestled all over the United States and Canada, buildins tip an excellent record. Before leaving for New Zealand he won 18 bouts in succession and he has not yet been beaten m New Zealand, having won all his contests except that in which Blomfield held him to a draw at Dunedin. The match at Dunedin was described as the hardest and best from every point of view that has been seen there. Their meeting should be productive of skilful wrestling. An entertaining programme of amateur preliminaries will commence at 8 o'clock.
